Create the NFT of a physical object

Creating an NFT for a physical object means registering a digital twin on the blockchain. This twin contains your object's information (name, photos, brand, year, serial number), a verification QR code, and a public history. The process is integrated: you describe your object, add photos, choose your plan, and pay online. The platform then generates the digital twin and mints it as an ERC-721 NFT on Base Sepolia. You don't need a crypto wallet: if you don't have one, the NFT is temporarily held in the Phygital Trust Server Wallet. If you have an EVM wallet address, the NFT can be sent there.

Digitize a collectible card

Collectible cards (trading cards, sports cards, graded cards) are ideal objects for digitization. Each card often has a serial number, an edition, a rarity and a condition — all information structured in the digital twin. To digitize a card: photograph the front and back in high resolution, note the reference (number, edition, rarity), indicate the condition (new, mint, excellent...), and add any relevant document (invoice, grading certificate like PSA, BGS or CGC). The digital twin centralizes this information and makes it verifiable via QR code or public link.

Link NFT and real object

The NFT (digital twin) and the physical object are two distinct but complementary elements. The NFT proves the integrity, existence and history of the digital data. The physical object remains the real object you own. To link the two: the physical QR code (included in the Premium plan) connects the object to the digital twin. Scan the QR code to access the verification page. Important: selling the NFT does not automatically transfer the physical object. Both transactions (NFT transfer and physical handover) must be coordinated between the parties.

Sell an object with its NFT

Selling an object with its digital twin strengthens the buyer's confidence: they can verify the history, photos, documents and provenance before purchasing. To sell: prepare the NFT transfer to the buyer's wallet address via the "Prepare a transfer" function in your space. The buyer receives a notification. The final blockchain transaction will require a separate step and an explicit signature. Coordinate the physical handover of the object in parallel. The NFT transfer and physical handover are two separate operations.

Consult Etherscan and Basescan

Etherscan and Basescan are block explorers: they let you view transactions, contracts and tokens on the blockchain. To view your NFT on Basescan (Base Sepolia): 1. Go to https://sepolia.basescan.org 2. Search for your contract address or your transaction hash 3. You'll see contract details, Transfer events and metadata The direct link to your transaction is available on your Phygital Trust certificate verification page.

Recover your NFT with MetaMask

If you provided an EVM wallet address during certification, your NFT is sent to that address. To view it in MetaMask: 1. Install MetaMask from https://metamask.io (official site only) 2. Add the Base Sepolia network: RPC https://sepolia.base.org, Chain ID 84532, symbol ETH, explorer https://sepolia-explorer.base.org 3. Go to "NFTs" → "Import NFT" 4. Enter the contract address and token ID (available on your verification page) Never share your seed phrase or private key. No legitimate person will ever ask for them.

OpenSea and network availability

OpenSea is a marketplace for NFTs. However, OpenSea is not available on testnet networks like Base Sepolia. If your NFT is on Base Sepolia (test network), OpenSea won't allow you to view or sell it. Instead, you can view your NFT on the Basescan explorer or on thirdweb. When the platform moves to a mainnet network (Base, Ethereum or Polygon), OpenSea will be available for viewing and listing. No automatic listing is guaranteed.
